Through its collections, John Moritz Library provides information that reflects the current state of knowledge and practice in the health sciences, especially as they support certificate, associate, undergraduate, and graduate education and professional development initiatives at Nebraska Methodist College. The library collections promote excellence in teaching and learning, in research, clinical care, and in outreach programs of its affiliates. As such, heavy emphasis is placed on collecting resources in nursing, the allied health professions, and health care education.
Brandon-Hill and other recommendation lists, analysis of the collections of peer institutions, faculty recommendations, and budgetary factors are all significant considerations for librarians responsible for making purchase decisions.
The library welcomes suggestions for purchase. Suggested resources are evaluated within the context of curriculum support, budgetary factors, and policy guidelines.
